Insignia offers a variety of materials for the creation of aesthetic restorations, however gold remains the preferred choice for many Doctors due to its longevity and functional success. Gold mimics some of the properties of natural dentition; it expands and contracts similarly to an actual tooth and is highly biocompatible. Additionally, gold demonstrates an exceptional fit with minimal space between the restoration and the remaining tooth structure, and is highly resistant to plaque build up.

Our gold team is trained in the PL Thomas technique, as well as the Pankey cusp fossae technique. Quality is built into each and every crown, inlay, onlay and bridge restoration we create. Various percentages of gold content are available; ranging from type II to type IV, precious to high noble.

INSIGNIA DENTAL LABORATORY is committed to offering aesthetic, natural looking results utilising the most innovative materials and procedures available. When treatments require a conventional porcelain-fused-to-metal restoration, you can be assured that our technicians provide the highest level of craftsmanship possible. Our ceramists use the same layering techniques for our porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations as for all-porcelain alternatives. We build the colour from within, rather than relying upon the external stain alone to create the desired effect.
