81.1% Precious Metal. These restorations can be used in conjunction with pressable ceramics. It will bond with sensation porcelain. The same porcelain that is used to make pressable ceramic crowns. Insigniagold LFC was developed to reduce the number of alloy materials present in the patients mouth, the Insigniagold LFC System joins a single alloy material for multiple indications (Insigniagold LFC) to a specially manufactured ceramic system (Sensation).
Each component of the Insigniagold LFC System presents individual advantages that are beneficial to the system as a whole. The Sensation Porcelain Alloy is a versatile gold material indicated for a variety of clinical situations, from inlay to full-arch restorations. In addition, due to the absence of toxic elements such as nickel, the material demonstrates a high level of bio-compatibility for metal alloys. The second component, Sensation Porcelain is manufactured specifically for indications with the Insigniagold LFC Alloy. One advantage of the porcelain system is the increased flexural strength intraorally. Further, the porcelain is kind to the opposing natural dentition, since it exhibits the same abrasion characteristics. A self healing protective layer ensures an ultra smooth restoration surface and demonstrates plaque resistance. Together, these components enable the Insigniagold LFC System to be utilised for natural looking durable, healthy restorations.
N.B. We recommend that all these high gold restorations not be placed near or next to an opposing amalgam restoration. As it can cause a galvanic reaction. A contraindication by all gold and amalgam manufacturers.
